This, oddly enough, saw her catapulted into a conservatorium, a college, a university, plus primary and high schools, after moving north. Kate taught and lectured, then decided it was time to grow up and do something serious. Like writing.<\/p>\n<p>In 1989 Kate self-published a book of poetry with Aboriginal, Ted Rickards.
