Time comes quickly. Like the flick of a page<\/p>\n

we suddenly glance back over an age.<\/p>\n

We wonder if any achievement will last.<\/p>\n

But our life’s die is already cast.<\/p>\n

Vivid memories of friendships that linger.<\/p>\n

Adventures in childhood that lasted forever.<\/p>\n

Everything moves with a rush to the present.<\/p>\n

Why should we sometimes feel such resentment?<\/p>\n

Perhaps it’s because of the words left unsaid<\/p>\n

to loved ones gone, leaving memories instead.<\/p>\n

The more that we ponder on what should have been,<\/p>\n

we find with life’s wisdom, not much could we deem<\/p>\n

to be different by action or thought in the past.<\/p>\n

The future will happen, despite what we ask.<\/p>\n

The present is precious, a time to enjoy<\/p>\n

all life’s moments, pain, hope and joy.<\/p>\n

Our friends and our loved ones in love and strife,<\/p>\n

will all take a part in the rest of our life.<\/p>\n
