Cathan is a former CPGA club golf professional. Specialized in teaching juniors but is writing full time now. She has a University background, in anthropology, archeology and psychology. Cathan studied with the Maui Writers group and had a local newspaper column. 

She lives in Canada and writes children's books and also adult mysteries. Children's humour is her favourite genre.
